A recent article featured in FASEB Journal shows that antioxidants, largely found in plant-based foods, might be H1N1 influenza’s Achilles heel, preventing H1N1 virus to invade and colonize our lungs. In addition, the research conducted by Sadis Matalon and colleagues shows that antioxidants can help in the treatment of H1N1 influenza.

H1N1 vaccine maker Sanofi Pasteur tours journalists
Vaccine manufacturing giant Sanofi Pasteur opened its doors to the media Wednesday, inviting reporters to a first-of-its-kind, up-close look at its H1N1 flu vaccine production facility.
Sanofi, the only manufacturer licensed to make H1N1 vaccine in the United States, also released its final clinical trial data, a 42-day follow-up of its adult and pediatric trials. According to this latest data, a single dose of H1N1 vaccine induces a strong immune response in adults, but two doses will be needed for children 6 months to 9 years of age. More of the news here...

Burned Teen Saved by Diving in Pool
It's a call that no firefighter ever wants to have to answer.
For firefighter-paramedic Bobby Goss, it was the worst call of his four-year career. And when you hear the screams of 15-year-old Michael Brewer on the 911 calls, you know why this was such a horrific call for help. Michael Brewer had been set on fire.
"We saw the bushes on fire ... and we could hear the patient screaming at the pool," Goss said Tuesday. Please read more here...

On Iran's Nuclear Work and MiddlEast Tension
Iran can't convince the world it doesn't want nuclear weapons as long as it is producing nuclear fuel on an industrial scale, former U.N. weapons inspector Hans Blix said Wednesday.
Iran has defied a U.N. Security Council demand that it halt its uranium enrichment program, insisting it has a right to produce fuel for civilian power plants. But while Iran says it has no intention of producing nuclear weapons, "they could change their mind tomorrow," Blix told CNN's "Amanpour" program. Read em all here...

Need for Swine Flu Face Mask
The need for swine flu face mask that others call as respirator mask or or surgical mask come in varieties of mask types. You can ask the medical stores if you are interested to buy one for you or if you are looking to be a distributor because of the saleability of this medical product today since the widespread of A(H1N1) flu virus.
The swine flu face mask is also in demand today because many countries since the declaration of the A(H1N1)A flu virus as a pandemic disease has been fast spreading. As an important tip if you want to buy a swine flu face mask, you must realize that you cannot use the same mask over and over again so you have to make sure that the mask is just enough to protect you from airborne virus infection possibilities.
After use for the day, you have to get rid of the face mask at once and not put it anywhere near contact of other people. You can use a plastic bag to put it inside and then label it "used" so nobody will take it. Remember that you can save a little money from buying the regular respiratory mask or face mask instead of the high quality one because you will be obliged to throw it away after use for a day.

A (H1N1) Flu Virus Declared Pandemic
After the new strain that has evolved through an mysterious combination of the avian flu virus and the swine flu virus to form A (H1N1) Flu Virus first known to have been seen in Mexico, nothing has ever been the same. In a matter of a few days only, more and more cases were discovered which prompted the World Health Organization to closely monitor the growing cases in Mexico, causing closure of Schools.
In the United States, some schools have already closed due to the fast spread of the said virus and after a few hundred more cases were found in other countries and a few more death toll, the WHO was finally convinced to declare this disease into a pandemic (June 2009) which means a global presence and concern is already present.
Originally, flu virus is endemic or what we call seasonal but when the subtype A (H1N1) flu virus came, in such a short span of time, we already have a newly evolved virus of flu nature. This is supposed to be only present in animals but to a mysterious evolution still undetermined how an avian flu and a swine flu could ever combine to form a more lethal virus, nothing has ever been the same again for the nature of flu virus to be only endemic (seasonal).
Today even in Asia, the presence of A (H1N1) Flu Virus is steadily inching its way to more countries and as of now, only a few were still not found to have contained it. A (H1N1) Flu Virus Vaccine is now soon on the way according to Novartis but we still don't know if this is a reliable vaccine to use. I hope we can still recover from this global threat soon.

What is A (H1N1) Flu Virus?
So you came here because you are also asking about "what is A (H1N1) Flu Virus? What does it do and what are the common symptoms and preventive measures that you can take in order to avoid getting infected with it?
Facts About A (H1N1) Flu Virus
We commonly call A (H1N1) Flu Virus before as swine flu virus which is very wrong because by nature, swine flu virus is just one type of strain while the latter is a combination of 2 strains that evolved to form a new strain virus of a subtype H1N1. Although generally, A (H1N1) is also a subtype of influenza virus A we commonly came to know as the common cause of human influenza flu.
Most H1N1 are endemic (seasonal) while the evolved virus, the A (H1N1) Flu Virus is now a globally declared pandemic (gloabal) by the World Health Organization (WHO). A (H1N1) is actually a combination of both the swine flu which is common with pigs and the avian influenza virus which is common with birds.
In was just in June 2009, that WHO declared that flu due to a new strain of swine-origin H1N1 was responsible for the 2009 flu pandemic. This strain is commonly called "swine flu" but is now finally called as A (H1N1) Virus.
As of now, there is no confirmed antivirus yet for this type of mutated influenza virus but there is a video on A (H1N1) Virus vaccine possible to be out soon. I saw in the Philippines that this video tells that there is a near antidote to this disease now being made and will soon be available for purchase.
